Do you see the state of the world and fear for your children or grandchildren? Do you want to get beyond wishful thinking or despair to participate in real change?
This workshop, based on the Work That Reconnects, provides useful resources that strengthen our motivation, creativity, courage and capacity to respond to challenging issues in our world, and allows participants to explore and grow connection - to the land, ourselves, and each other. This is Active Hope.

Join with others from the growing Active Hope community to revisit the spiral of practices from the Work That Reconnects to help us keep connected to each other, the land and ourselves. Those who wish to can stay on to share Going Forth projects and ideas, and get support and encouragement.
Note: this event is primarily for people who have already done an Active Hope workshop with us. However, a person who has not done the workshop can attend if they are booking in with someone who has already done one with us.

Rewilding the Soul is silent contemplative retreat designed to help you experience yourself on the border of Boonwurrung/Bunurong and Wurundjeri Woiwurrung country as part of the land, and to encounter God in creation.

Chestnut Harvest Open Day 2024
On our annual Chestnut Harvest Open Day we invite members of the public to come and collect chestnuts, roast them on a campfire, have a picnic and generally enjoy the fruits of the season.
Entry and chestnuts by donation (cash or direct debit)
Bring sturdy shoes, picnic lunch and bags for chestnuts

Gaza Ceasefire Pilgrimage
Join us on Palm Sunday as we walk in prayerful solidarity with the people of Gaza and all lands, creatures and people who are suffering because of this conflict. You can join us for a section or the whole way. This walk is part of the global Gaza Ceasefire Pilgrimage movement during the Christian season of Lent.
Autumn equinox gathering
It’s Iuk (eel) season (Wurundjeri Woiwurrung) and Wygabil-ny-ewin season (old man sun, Bunurong). Join our gathering for the harvest, to share stories of things coming to fruition, and to eat, sing and enjoy the land together!

Rewilding Christianity Summer Immersion 2024
How can we listen more deeply to the voice of God in the land we are on?
What might it look like to follow Jesus as one apprenticed to the wild?
How do we live out the call to honour creation and live in relationship with the land and its creatures in the way that we work, eat, rest and pray?
What might it look like to integrate spiritual practices into our daily lives?
Join the Gembrook Retreat residents in our rhythm of work and prayer. We will explore sit spots, Quaker spirituality, contemplative practices, and the Work That Reconnects as well as eating good food, working on the land, singing and sharing stories around the campfire.

A 24 hour vigil of grief and remembrance for those who have died.
Space for communal sharing and remembering around the fire.
