Nestled in the gully of the Dandenong Ranges, surrounded by the calls of the kookaburra, cockatoo and lyre bird lies Gembrook Retreat. It is here we embark on a monthly journey into the rhythms of writing.
Through seeking communion with the non-human world, we draw inspiration from Nature to complement and enrich our writing practice.
Each month, under the facilitation of Dr. Colm McNaughton, we embrace a new theme. The second in this series will be, ‘A Sense of the Audience’.
We aim to have you well equipped in distinguishing your writer’s voice, tailoring it to specific audiences and playing with language to find its rhythm.
No previous experience in writing is required.
You are welcome to bring your own projects, but we will also undertake some group activities.
Lunch is provided, as is regular cuppas as required.
Sliding scale $20/$40/$60
Third Sunday of the Month, 12pm-5pm.
This session: Sunday 20th July
